We've added an affiliate program (here’s what that actually means)

A lot of you already recommend Crypton to friends, in forums, or on your own sites. We’ve wanted a proper way to say thank you for that — without turning the product into an ad platform.

So we built an affiliate program. It’s pretty simple: you get a link, someone signs up through it, and if they actually use Crypton (buy an eSIM, rent a number, subscribe to something, etc.), you earn a small commission.

That’s basically it.

Not the Partner Program

Quick clarification, because people ask: this is not the Partner Program.

Partners run hardware and supply numbers — that’s a whole different thing with its own dashboard. Affiliates just share a link. No SIMs, no devices, no provisioning. You can do both if you want, but you don’t need to be a partner to be an affiliate.

How it works

  1. Enroll from your Crypton dashboard. You’ll get a referral link right away.
  2. Share the link however you normally would — blog post, Mastodon, group chat, whatever.
  3. If someone registers through your link within 30 days (cookie window), they’re attributed to you.
  4. When they spend on eligible services, you earn 10% by default. Earnings sit in pending for 14 days, then move to your available balance.
  5. Once you hit €10, you can request a payout (USDT or XMR) or convert to Crypton account credit instantly.

Crypto payouts are handled manually on our end. Credit transfer is automatic from the dashboard.

What counts (and what doesn’t)

Commission is on service spend — purchases and subscriptions. Things like eSIM, SMS verification, phone/email/mobile subscriptions.

It is not on balance top-ups. If someone only loads credit and never buys anything, there’s no commission. We set it up that way on purpose; it felt cleaner and less gameable.

Rates can vary slightly by service type. Your dashboard shows the breakdown.

Privacy stuff worth knowing

We tried to make the affiliate dashboard fit how Crypton works generally.

You won’t see referred users’ emails or account numbers. They show up as a public ID and a silly name like LikeableAardvark44. Earnings are grouped as “purchase” or “subscription” rather than “paid via Stripe” or similar.

We also run fraud checks — same IP on signup, self-referrals, that kind of thing. Sometimes a referral gets flagged for manual review. Annoying if you’re legit, but it keeps the program from getting weird fast.

Affiliate vs Partner (one table, promise)

Affiliate Partner
You Share a link Run numbers / devices
You earn when Referred users buy services Traffic hits your numbers
Hardware Nope Yes

Common questions

How much is the commission?
Usually 10% on eligible spend. Not on top-ups.

When can I cash out?
After the 14-day hold, once you’re at €10 minimum.

Can I take it as account credit instead of crypto?
Yeah, that’s instant if you’d rather spend it on Crypton than withdraw.

Can I refer myself?
Please don’t. It’s blocked and you’ll probably get suspended.
